Welding Systems: Multi Gun Spot Welders

Sometimes, customers have high production requirement and a limited budget. We try to achieve the most cost efficient engineering solutions. In this case we had to design and build a system that welded 50 spots on a large part without the use of multiple robots. 8-10 transguns were installed on mulitple position THK shuttles to cover all weld locations in xy planes. Part is trasferred on a large programmable linear drive to all weld positions and than to the unloading area. System was equipped with custom Weld control containing multiple SCRs capable to fire transguns simultaneusly with individual weld parameters.
